Examination
& Treatment
We provide comprehensive eye health and vision evaluations for adults and children. Evaluations are conducted to determine not only the presence of refractive (focusing) errors, but to rule out external and internal eye diseases. We treat eye injuries, foreign bodies, infections, allergies, dry eyes, glaucoma and other eye diseases. Detailed findings and appropriate treatment plans are discussed at the conclusion of each visit.
Emergency Services
Such situations include: sudden loss of or change in vision, foreign body removal or eye infection. Our office is experienced in the diagnosis and management of ocular emergencies. If further care is needed, we will make the necessary arrangements with the appropriate referral centers.
A foreign body would be anything in the eye that is not supposed to be there, such as a fiber or a piece of metal.
A red, irritated, weepy eye can be an indication of a viral or bacterial infection. However, there are other conditions with similar symptoms to pink eye, thus it is important to identify the true source of the problem, effectively control the infection, and quickly restore the eye to health.
If you experience sudden vision loss, contact our office immediately. Some conditions require intervention within hours to effectively restore vision. Waiting until Monday is typically not the appropriate response to these sudden changes. If you experience a sudden change in vision, let our office decide if it is something that can wait, or something that needs to be taken care of quickly.
Contact Lenses
We evaluate and prescribe many types of contact lenses, including soft and RGP spherical, toric and bifocal lenses. Our comprehensive servies include: initial evaluation, fitting, corneal topography, lens care, lens handling instructions, follow-up care and continuing professional care. We fit and prescribe contact lenses in order to correct myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism, and presbyopia (problem focusing at near after the age of 40).
